Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis

ACTRIMS provides a forum for MS clinicians and researchers in the US and Canada to meet annually to learn about, discuss and debate advances in MS research and clinical care. ACTRIMS is not presently a membership organization. It is guided by a volunteer steering committee of experienced MS clinicians and researchers. In 2007, ACTRIMS met jointly in Washington, DC, with the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers for the first time. 2008 marks the 13th annual meeting of ACTRIMS and its 4th collaboration with ECTRIMS.

European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis

ECTRIMS was established in 1982 and has the mission to foster collaboration of clinicians and researchers to elucidate the pathophysiology and cause of MS and develop new treatments. It offers an annual congress that attracts MS neurologists and researchers from around the world. ECTRIMS activities are governed by a board of officers elected from delegates of MS societies from 33 European countries. ECTRIMS is not presently a membership organization. In 2007 ECTRIMS collaborated with RIMS (Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis) to present a joint program in Prague, with 5000 participants. 2008 marks the 24th congress of ECTRIMS.

Latin American Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis

LACTRIMS offers a biennial congress targeted to neurologists with an interest in MS, who are based in Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean - 19 countries in total. It is a membership organization and is governed by an elected board of officers who are experience MS clinicians and researchers. LACTRIMS presents a program annually in collaboration with the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. 2008 marks the 5th congress of LACTRIMS and its first collaboration with ACTRIMS and ECTRIMS.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society (USA)

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to achieving a world free of MS, and is proud to serve as the organizing body for the World Congress on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis. The Society is a collective of passionate people who want to do something about MS now: we are a driving force of MS research, relentlessly pursuing prevention, treatment and cure. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn't.

Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada

The MS Society of Canada is pleased to collaborate toward the organization of the World Congress on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis. The mission of the MS Society of Canada is to be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.

Opus 3 inc.

Opus 3 inc. is a Montréal based company specializing in the organization of conventions, trade fairs and special events. For over 15 years, Opus 3 professionals have been associated with more than 500 prestigious events in the Montréal and Québec convention and trade show industry as well as in various cities across Canada, the USA and Europe. Opus 3 has been engaged by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on behalf of ACTRIMS to handle logistics for the World Congress on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis.
