Housing for the World Congress on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis is being handled by the Tourism Montréal Housing Bureau. All correspondence and questions should be directed to them. Montréal is a popular travel destination in September. We suggest that you reserve your room well in advance of the August 14, 2008 housing deadline.

Room Rates/Taxes

Special convention rates have been negotiated with all of the congress hotels. Prices are guaranteed through the August 14, 2008 cut-off date or until the rooms are sold, whichever comes first. After that date, the official room block will be released and the hotels may charge significantly higher rates.

If you wish to extend your stay, a limited number of room nights are available up tp three nights prior and three nights after the congress dates. Rooms are available at the group rate, based on availability.

All rates are per room per night and are subject to a 3% accommodation tax as well as a 5% GST and 7.5% PST tax (subject to change without notice). Some hotels may charge additional fees for rooms with more than one occupant. If you have a special need, please indicate so. Hotels will assign specific room types upon check-in, based on availability.

Deposits

All hotels require a credit car guarantee or check deposit (payable in Canadian dollars) equal to a one-night rate. If you pay by check, your reservation will only be confirmed once your check has been received and cleared by the bank. Checks must be received at least 60 days prior to arrival date.

Changes/Cancellations

Through September 12, contact the Housing Bureau for changes and cancellations. After that date, you should contact the hotel directly. The cancellation and refund policy for the room reservation will be detailed in your reservation confirmation.
