Dear Colleagues

We look forward to welcoming you to Montreal for the World Congress on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis. This will be the first joint meeting of ACTRIMS (the Americas Committee on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis) and its counterparts in Europe and Latin America: ECTRIMS and LACTRIMS.

We expect over 3,500 participants from around the globe - clinicians, clinical researchers, and basic scientists. This will be the largest single gathering of MS clinicians and researchers in 2008.

This is an exciting time. Each week brings new reports of our collective investigation and understanding of MS - work that will ultimately be important for people affected by this disease. We look forward to your active participation in this international forum.

Our meeting takes place in Montreal, located in Canada's Quebec province. With its enthusiastic blend of the historic and modern, Montreal has a joie de vivre that will inspire us in our collegial debates, scientific discussions, and celebrations of our steady advances in the research and treatment of multiple sclerosis. We hope that you will take some time to explore this delightful city.

Sincerely,

Jerry Wolinsky
